Jessie turned her head slightly and gave him a flirtatious smile while moving her body against his. She turned back to me and her movements hesitated. “Hey, Sam—”

I lifted my chin toward the sexy guy standing behind her and winked. “I’m in need of some fresh air anyways.” I spun around and headed out to the patio. There were several people standing around smoking, but the area was pretty much deserted. Everyone was inside enjoying the party. I leaned up against the short, wrought iron fence that bordered the seating area and took a deep breath. After the hot day, the brisk night air was refreshing. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feel of the cool breeze on my skin.

“So did you fight your way out of that crowd too?” A sexy, deep voice startled me, and I quickly looked back over my shoulder. It was him. The guy from earlier with the irresistible smirk and smoldering green eyes.

I confidently lifted my chin in the air. “Nope, this time I managed to make a clean escape.” I replied with false pride before turning away from him and resuming my position.

He walked up beside me and leaned into the fencing. “Glad to hear it. I think throwing shoes inside there is frowned upon.”

I felt my face heat with embarrassment. “How come you aren’t in there?” I asked.

“Well I was, but I noticed a beautiful girl standing out here all alone so I thought maybe she’d like some company.”

He’d come outside to see me? My pulse sped up and I fumbled for the words to respond. Before I could straighten my thoughts he continued.

  “I’m Cory by the way.”

  “I’m—”

He cut me off before I could finish. “Sam, right?” I nodded. “I’ve never seen you around before. You’re a friend of Jessie’s?”

“Yeah, she convinced me to join her for her birthday. This isn’t really my scene.” I admitted.

“And what is your scene?” he asked.

I quickly brainstormed for an answer that wouldn’t sound totally lame. “Well, I just mean that I don’t usually spend my weekend at extreme sporting events.”

The side of his mouth turned up and he raised an eyebrow at me. “So you don’t like guys on motorcycles?” he teased.

“No . . . I mean . . . that’s not what I meant. What girl wouldn’t find a guy on a bike sexy?” That last part had slipped out before I’d had a chance to think it through.

“You think I’m sexy.” he responded cockily, wearing a wicked grin on his face.

  “I didn’t say that.”

  “You don’t think I’m sexy?”

“I didn’t say that . . .” I caught my breath as he took a step toward me, our bodies now mere inches apart. I looked up into his intense green eyes. He leaned down to my level and pressed his lips against my ear. The action gave me chills, the good kind.

“Good. Because if you had, I’d have to convince you otherwise. I could easily persuade you to the side of the sexy motorcycle guy.” he whispered, his breath tickling the skin behind my ear.

“Oh yeah? And how would you do that?” I asked quietly.

“I can’t tell you my secrets. You’d have to wait and find out—”

“Sam!” My best friend’s voice broke through our intimate conversation and shattered the building tension.

Jess strode toward us, and I instinctively jumped back a few steps away from Cory. He winked at me and said, “Nice chatting with you.” Then he turned and headed back inside. I couldn’t help but watch him as he walked away.

I turned my attention to Jessie. “Hey, done dancing already?”

She glanced at me and then at the door that Cory had just entered and then back at me. She smiled. “I think maybe I should be the one asking you if you’re done.”

  Chapter 7

  Sam

The weekend had flown by and Monday morning arrived more quickly than seemed normal. After a morning of work, my stomach was grumbling and I was ready to go grab some lunch. I walked out to the front desk of the store to get Shelly.

She looked up at me and smiled as I approached. “Hey, Shelly, want to grab some lunch?”

“Sure. Let me go get my purse,” she answered.

We climbed into my car and Shelly suggested we eat at a new restaurant called Burger Town. She gave me directions and we headed across town.

The restaurant was in a new building that had dark wood siding, and big black umbrellas shaded the outdoor eating area. We walked inside and saw that the place was packed. Apparently, it was the new, in lunch hour hangout. The hostess approached us.

“Hi, ladies,” she said, “table for two?”

  “Yes, please.” I answered.

She glanced down at her clipboard. “The wait is going to be about ten minutes. Go ahead and have a seat right over there.” She wrote down my name and pointed to a bench near the door. “And I’ll come get you when your table is ready.”

We thanked her and took our seats.

“So how was your weekend?” Shelly questioned.

I thought back to the day with Jessie, and my encounter with Cory. For some stupid reason, just thinking about the way he’d whispered in my ear gave me goosebumps. “It was good.” I replied enthusiastically. “How was yours?”

“Mine too. David surprised me with a romantic dinner on Friday night.” Shelly beamed.

“Oooh a romantic dinner, that sounds fun. And judging by the look on your face it must have been some meal.”

She giggled and looked down at her hands in her lap. “It definitely was.”

I looked toward the hostess stand to see if our table was ready yet, and my breath caught in my throat. There he was. Cory was walking toward the front of the restaurant. He seemed to be garnering a lot of attention as he confidently strolled through the section of tables. He was wearing a black fitted hat pulled down low over his brow, and his array of tattoos showed beneath the sleeves of his dark grey button up shirt. I suddenly realized I was staring and quickly snapped my attention back to my friend.

Shelly sensed my anxiousness. “Are you all right?” she asked.

“What?” I questioned, my mind still stuck on Cory. “Oh yeah, I’m fine.” I added.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him approach us, but I kept my attention on my friend.

“What are you following me or something?” he asked.

I looked up and my gaze was immediately transfixed with his. His eyes were dark, and it felt as if they were peering right through into my soul. “I could ask you the same thing.”

He chuckled. “If you really want me to show you, all you have to do is ask.”

I could feel Shelly looking at the side of my face with confusion. Just as I was about to reply, a tall brunette with extra long legs, and exceptionally huge breasts, walked up and placed her hand on his shoulder.

“There you are. Come on, Cory, let’s go. I’ve got an appointment in twenty minutes.”

My heart sank as I took her in. I hoped that the disappointment wasn’t evident on my face, but I’m sure it was.

Cory glanced at her and then back at me. “See ya, Sam.” He gave me a wink. “And remember what I said.” He turned around and followed his girl out of the restaurant.

Was he serious? Had he really just hit on me while he was on a lunch date with his girl? Damnit, the worst part of that whole thing was that he had a girl.

Shelly was looking at me with wide eyes. “What the hell was that about? And who was that guy?”

“Sam, table for two,” the hostess called out.

  We stood. “He’s no one.”

Shelly followed me to our table. “You know I’m not going to let you off the hook that easily.”

I thanked the hostess and picked up a menu, completely ignoring her comment. “So what is good here?” I asked, in hop
es that we could change the subject.

She reached over and shut my menu, placing it on the table. “No way. Some super hot guy, who’s here with his girlfriend, comes up to you and offers to show you something, and you’re going to say that it’s nothing? Spill, woman!”

I cringed at the word girlfriend, and looked up to meet her eyes. “Maybe that wasn’t his girlfriend.”

“That is your response? How about telling me who he is and what he wants to show you.” she said with frustration.

I sighed. “He’s just some guy I met on Saturday.”

  “Where did you meet him?”

“Jessie took me to some off-roading expo, he was there. He was riding in a demo.”

  “Riding? Riding what?”

“A dirt bike.” My mind drifted back to the impressive stunts I’d seen him do. “He’s really damn good. He did a backflip and some other crazy tricks.”

She looked at me in disbelief. “You’re telling me that you were hanging out with that impressive specimen of a man, and you weren’t going to tell me about it?”

“We didn’t hang out, I just said I’d met him. That’s all.”

She continued her interrogation. “What exactly is he so eager to show you then?”

I felt myself blush as I confessed the truth. “I really don’t know.” Although, I had to admit I was more than curious to find out. In fact, the curiosity was ruling my thoughts.

Shelly raised her brow at me with a suspicious look. “Mhmm. Sure.”

“It doesn’t matter anyway, he was here with someone. I don’t know why he even bothered to acknowledge me.” That thought dampened my spirits. “Let’s just order.”

“Okay,” she replied hesitantly, clearly still waiting for the missing part of my story.

After a lunch of sliders and fries, we headed back to the store to finish out the afternoon. As I sat in my office double checking a new order of books, my mind kept returning to Cory. I don’t know why, but he’d really left an impression. I wanted to run into him again. I wanted him to show me.

  Chapter 8

  Cory

“Fuck, Cory. Harder, fuck me harder.”

I increased the speed and strength of my thrusts. “You like that, baby?”

Sam moaned in response as she threw her head back, her silky, blonde hair falling down around her face. Her long fingernails ran lines down my shoulders and back as I continued slamming into her. I felt myself close to losing control but I wasn’t going to let that happen until she came.

“Ah, yes just like that! I’m almost—”

The obnoxiously loud ringtone of my cell phone woke me. I sat up startled and with a raging erection. Now I’d definitely have to take care of that myself. “Fuck.” I scrubbed my hands over my face and glanced at the time, 7 a.m.. I reached over to my phone and hit answer. “You better have a damn good reason for calling me at this time.”

“Good morning to you too, sunshine,” Mike said.

  “Yeah. What’s up?”

“Just got a call from Nitro Energy, they want you at the track for a photo shoot today at 8:30.”

I yawned. “All right. Pretty damn last minute. “

“Yeah, apparently they just booked the photographer last night. Since they’ve renewed your sponsorship they’re going to feature you in their upcoming ad campaign. So get your ass outta bed and get ready.”

  “Yeah, yeah. I’ll be there.”

“See you there. Don’t be late,” he warned before he hung up.

Reluctantly, I climbed out of bed. With images of Sam’s pleasure filled face still floating around my mind, I headed to the shower.

  Chapter 9

  Cory

This was it. This was the shit I lived for. The air rushed past my helmet as I opened the throttle and pinned it. My bike hit the metal kicker, and I flew through the air pulling my motorcycle sideways into a motowhip. The adrenaline rush you get when your tires first lift off that ramp is indescribable. Suddenly gravity doesn’t exist, and you have the freedom to do anything. I returned my focus to the dirt landing, and made sure to finish my jump cleanly.

As I pulled around to where the photographer, Mike, and a few of the Nitro energy girls were standing they all nodded in approval. I came to a stop and dropped my goggles down around my neck.

The photographer was staring intently at the monitor on his camera. He looked up. “That’s it, Cory, we got the shot.”

One of the girls, the brunette with the huge tits that we’re covered by only the tiniest triangles, I think her name was Megan, stepped forward. “Rex wants some pictures of you with us girls.” She sauntered up to me and leaned seductively against my leg. There was no way my cock wasn’t going to react.

I reached out and playfully pinched the side of her waist with my gloved fingers. “All right. Let’s do it, babe.” I gave her a wink.

She leaned in close so only I could hear. “You and I can definitely do it later,” she whispered as her palm slid up my thigh, stopping right over my stiff cock.

“Megan, go get the other girls and let’s get this done,” Mike instructed.

Megan bit down on her plump bottom lip with her bright white teeth as she glanced me up and down quickly before leaving to fetch her friends. I watched her round ass in that tiny fucking skirt as she walked away. Damn, life is good. I thought to myself.

I pulled my helmet off and hung it on the handlebars. I looked back over my shoulder and saw Megan approaching with a few other, equally sexy, girls. One of them was Jessie. As soon as I spotted her my mind shot back to the sex dream I’d had about her best friend, Sam. I really wished I’d been able to finish that great dream. I don’t know what it was about that girl but she’d been making a lot of fucking appearances in my mind since last weekend. Well, I figured, I’d just have to make that dream a reality. Then I could make sure we were both satisfied with the ending.

The photographer pointed to Jessie and another girl. “You two, over there by the front fender.” He turned back to Megan and the blonde who were waiting. “You ladies by the back of the bike.”

The girls followed his directions, and Megan squeezed herself in real close to the back of my thigh. She made sure to lean forward and rub her tits on my shoulder before settling into her pose. As hot as she was, and obviously willing, I’d suddenly lost some of my interest. I pictured the way Sam’s slim, toned thighs had looked, would look, wrapped around my waist. She was the girl I needed beneath me, not this model who probably screwed any rider she met.

“Okay, perfect. Now, Cory, just turn this way,” the photographer directed. He lifted the camera to his face and I threw up a sign with just the index and pinky fingers on my right hand. The shutter clicked a few times, and I dropped my arm down around the girls’ shoulders, Megan and the blonde. He took a few more shots, and then called the shoot a wrap. I kick-started my bike and headed back to the truck.

I was throwing my gear bag into the bed, wearing only my leathers and boots, when a slim hand came up from behind and wrapped around to my chest. Her long fingers slid down my bare skin, traveling over my stomach and to the top of my pants. She slid one finger slightly under the waistband. “So when does our fun start?” Megan whispered in my ear. My body had definitely reacted to her approach.

I spun around to face her, and past her shoulder I spotted Jessie. Once again, my mind returned to her beautiful, blonde friend. I inhaled deeply before looking down to make eye contact with Megan. I couldn’t believe what I was about to say. “Sorry, I’ve already got plans today, babe. “ I couldn’t believe I’d turned down her willing pussy.

“Seriously?” she huffed. “Ugh. Whatever.” Megan stormed away offended. As she approached their truck and hopped in, Jessie glanced at her and then looked my direction. I wasn’t sure, but she almost looked shocked
that I’d turned Megan down. She gave me a smile and a slight nod of what I thought was approval.

I slammed the tailgate of my truck shut as I walked around to the driver’s door and jumped in.

  Chapter 10

  Sam

The sun was just dropping below the horizon line as I rounded the corner of my street. Despite the lack of breath I had after the four mile run, I was singing along to the catchy song on my iPod. All of a sudden, Wannabe by the Spice Girls—my ringtone for Jessie— started blasting through my ear buds. I know it’s pretty lame, but she and I had been all about the Spice as little girls, and it made me smile every time she called. I always laughed thinking back on the hours we’d spent choreographing dances to their songs. I slowed my pace to a walk and hit answer. “Hey,” I said, still a bit out of breath.

“Hey, girl! What are you doing?”

“Just finished my run. What’s up?”

“Well . . . I just heard about this great party tonight. Are you down?” she asked.

“Uh, Jess, am I usually down for parties? I’ve got a Netflix marathon ahead of me tonight.”

“Oh come on, Sam. It’s Friday night. Let’s go out, it’ll be fun.”

“I don’t know . . . last weekend was your choice, remember? I went out with you.” As I mentioned the past weekend, an image of Cory popped into my head. I’d been really busy at work all week, but he’d definitely made a few appearances in my mind.

“Plus, a certain, super sexy, guy is going to be there,” she added.

“So, you’ll have Josh there. You aren’t going to need me hanging around being a cock block,” I reasoned. Although, the thought of Josh had instantly made me wonder if Cory would be there.

Jessie laughed. “I don’t think you’ll have time for that, because the certain guy I’m talking about is one that you seemed pretty damn impressed with last weekend.”

“Cory will be there?” I asked, perhaps a bit too enthusiastically. She’d definitely caught my interest, and she knew it.
